About the speaker:
Shirley Gilmore: Head: Oliver R Tambo Law Library at the University of Pretoria.
“I was very fortunate to be able to stay at home to look after my sons when they were babies. Whilst doing this I studied Library Science when my eldest was a baby, and law when my second son was a baby. My library experience consists of a short stint at the Leeds University Library in Yorkshire, England and then for some years during the 1980s I worked at the CSIR library in Pretoria.  With my Higher Diploma in Library Science and a B.Proc degree I joined the Law Library of the University of Pretoria in 1999 and have been there ever since.”
